4.16: Merlinus sum

Climbing uphill into what looks to be a disused quarry, Lottie and pTravis come across a very old looking sign, perhaps revealed at some point by past by quarrying, which says: ‘Merlinus sum. Qui me tangit turbat mundum’. Scrawled across it in red graffiti are the words ‘BOG OFF!’ What can this mean?

pTravis suggests they divide their interpretative efforts and Lottie immediately suggests he tackles the older writing.

What a pity pTravis hadn’t paid more attention to lessons as a hatchling! After as long a time as the reader might find believable, he comes to a conclusion.

It is Latin and it means: I am Merlin. Who touches me disturbs the world
