7.8: The very next Westmorland Gazette

The next Thursday, pTravis intercepts Fabian who is taking the week’s local newspaper to Fabian who likes to skim it.

“I’ll take it to him!” He quickly reads the headline story which he summarises to the Chairman when he finds him.

“I don’t know this for sure but looks to me that this first story is just made up! It is all speculation. They cannot know that there will be a ‘Posthumous Encore Tour’”

“I suspect no good will come of this,” Alcock replies gloomily.

Nick Drake: Posthumous Encore Tour!

The Gazette recently reported that Nick Drake, the miserabilist pop crooner, who released only three albums between 1969 and 1972, before topping himself on 25 November 1974 with a cocktail of anti-depressants, is still alive crooning in the scullery of the Swan Hotel.

It stands to reason that the deceased crooner will wish to publicise his being alive, again, with some sort of musical tour: a Posthumous Encore Tour. Any such tour will include merchandise which will no doubt look something like this.

The Gazette will keep its readers fully informed of news of the tour.
